How do Jews interpret Daniel 9:24-27?

I was reading some commentaries on it and it said that it was referring to Jesus. So I'd like to know from Hebrew readers what covenant are those verses talking about? And who is the anointed to come who'd put an end to sacrifice and offerings, and WHEN did the "seven, sevens etc thing" came which Gabriel prophesied?
