I don't know why it is that I seem to be the only one in my surroundings that find.....to be morally wrong?..

Welcome to CAPITALISM! Are you American? Your country has been in the forefront of spreading this doctrine. I don't necessarily believe its wrong, but capitalism is the reason for economic prosperity. Read Mein Kampf and Das Kapital for more on this topic, but you would find that this tipe of ,so called free market system, seem to work best for materialistic orientated countries like the states.
