Why don't Americans value the importance of family anymore?
Hi all! I'm a family person. I've never been married and I don't have any kids but I love my family so much. My parents are the best in the world and they've always been there for me no matter what. They've always been married to each other for over 35 years and still act like they're still dating. It saddens me that so many people of all races and ages don't value their families anymore. A lot of times, I see people disrespecting their parents and relatives. People divorce so often as though it's normal and not a big thing. I have many friends who only grew up in one single parent household without the other parent around. It seems like people date and have with somebody new every week. Promiscuity is everywhere here in the US. Do you see something wrong with this picture because I do? I really think our society is very screwed up. Why don't Americans value the importance of family anymore? I'm starting to think that maybe people are just too free these days and don't care at all about the consequences of their actions to themselves and to other people. What do you think? Any answers would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
