Help on getting into the Air Force Academy?

I am a 9th grader in high school and was looking to go to the air force academy. I know you need good grades, challenging courses, community service, athletics, and a letter of recommendation from a senator, congressman, or the vice president. It would be great if anyone could give me any advice at all. Especially concerning the letter of recommendation and the community service part, and if there is anything extra i could do. I also know they are looking for leaders. Currently i have a 4.0 with three honors courses, i am in football and wrestling but might quite football for cross country, i am in Civil air patrol, and i am a life guard. Any suggestion would help. Thanks
